We design and make our clothing
using real bodies.

The Creek Dress was designed to fit snugly through the shoulders with a lot of room where the gathering starts above the bust. Each size spans a few different measurements. If you want the creek dress to fit as intended- the shoulders and the pit-to-pit measurement are most important. If you want it to fit bigger, no problem, go up a size. Choose custom size if you want to be specific using your own measurments, including desired length of dress.

HOW TO MEASURE:
*Shoulder width using your body:

Measure from the outside edge of one shoulder to the outside edge of the other shoulder, following the natural curve of your shoulders. You can use a flexible measuring tape or a piece of string or ribbon that you measure with a ruler or tape measure.

Shoulder width using a garment that fits you well:

Find a woven (non-stretchy) top or dress that fits you snugly, lay it down on a flat surface, with the back of the garment facing you, and measure from where the shoulder-armhole seam is, across to the other shoulder-armhole seam.

*Pit-to-pit: Using a garment
Find a woven (not stretchy) garment that fits well, lay it out flat and measure from just below the armpit on one side across the chest to the other armpit. It's important to lay the garment flat and fully extended.

Bust:
Wrap the measuring tape loosely around the fullest part of your chest, at nipple level. Round to the nearest whole number.

Sleeve length: (for custom sizing)
Place one end of the fabric tape measure at the top of your shoulder seam, and the other end of where sleeve hemline is desired for custom sizing.

Sleeve Opening: (for custom sizing)
To measure your arm width for a sleeve, you can measure your upper arm circumference at the widest section, which is usually just below your armpit.

Dress length: (for custom sizing)
Measure from the top of your shoulder to where you want the bottom of the dress hemline:
